Privacy Policy

For us, data is the basis for providing you with an outstanding service. But our most important asset is your trust as a customer. Protecting customer data and only using it in a way that customers have come to expect from us is extremely important to us. That is why it goes without saying that complying with the terms of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) is at the core of our business. It is also important to us that you know when and how we are using your information and how it is stored.

Consent:

Your use of this website constitutes consent to the use and storage of your information as described. Any changes to this privacy statement will be made directly on this website, keeping you informed about the information used and stored by Knecht GmbH.

Use and limited use of personal data:

None of your personal information may be stored on our website without your prior consent. That means that you alone decide whether or not to provide us with the requested information for a survey, for example. Knecht GmbH may use your information for inquiries, sending information material, processing orders or to improve our products and services.

We will not give your information to third parties outside Knecht GmbH without your express consent, unless the disclosure of that information is authorized by applicable legislation or necessary due to the order-based procedure. Your information will only be used for the purposes described in detail below.

Your information will only be processed and used for the purposes of consultancy, advertising and market research if you have expressly consented to same when asked by Knecht GmbH or one of our customers. Data may be processed in non-EU countries in accordance with legal requirements.

What information do we collect and why?
Internet connection data / IP addresses:

IP addresses are required for troubleshooting, website administration and demographic information. When you visit our site we can only see the domain name of your provider, not your email address.

The only way we see your email address is if you give it to us directly by filling out a form or sending us an email.

Collecting and processing non-personal data:

Every time a user accesses our website, in other words every time a user calls up or attempts to call up a file on this server, data is stored to a logfile. This data is not personal and we cannot tell which user called up which data. We also make no attempt to collect this information.

The following data is stored every time information is accessed:
  • Date and time of the request
  • Amount of data transmitted
  • Message stating whether the request was successful
  • Message indicating why a request was not successful
  • The name of the Internet Service Provider (i.e. our logfile indicates that a user from AOL or T-Online searched for our website but not which one)
  • If applicable, the operating system and browser software of your computer and the website that led you to us.

So-called temporary cookies are used to facilitate navigation when requesting individual pages. Cookie content is not evaluated based on the user and these cookies are automatically deleted when the Knecht website is closed.

Contact information:

Send us a contact form and we will send you the requested information, news or advertising material.

Applicant data:

It goes without saying that even if you send us an application via email, your information will be handled confidentially. A hard copy of your application will be kept by our human resources department. If necessary, the applicant data will be taken into account:

Email addresses:

If you provide us with your email address, we can use it to send you information via email. We will not give your email address to third parties outside Knecht GmbH.

Depending on the settings of your email program, personal data may be automatically transmitted when sending an email to Knecht GmbH. These will also be handled in strict confidence.

Opt-out:

If you no longer wish to receive offers, emails or information material or if you would like your applicant data to be deleted or destroyed, you may withdraw your previous consent at any time. Simply send us an email or tick the appropriate box on the form.

Please use the appropriate contact form or send us an email.

All of the information contained in our website has been carefully checked. However, we provide no guarantee that the content of our own website is correct, complete or up-to-date.

Newsletter

We, Knecht GmbH, function as a commissioned data processor in accordance with §11 BDSG [Federal Data Protection Act] in the field of newsletter distribution.

Commissioned by our customers, we send email newsletters to interested parties named by our customers, containing contents specified by our customers.

Knecht GmbH is not responsible for obtaining the necessary consent from email newsletter recipients or for the content of the emails.

We are thus in compliance with the Federal Data Protection Act, given that § 11 Section 1 BDSG states that our customers are responsible for adhering to data protection regulations.

Accordingly, any claims to cancellation, disclosure, correction and blocking of data can only be made to the responsible authority.

Please understand that we as data processors are not authorized to give information to concerned parties (recipients of newsletters) or unauthorized third parties concerning which datasets our customers have us process or which data the customers have stored with us until appropriation is complete.

We would be happy to put you in touch with the appropriate contact person in the responsible office so that you can make your data protection claims.

Tracking in newsletters (emails)

We use link-click tracking and tracking pixels when analyzing newsletters. This helps us analyze and determine when the newsletter was opened and whether or not links were opened from there. The following information is collected in the process: IP address, browser version, landing page and email address. This data is stored as part of our commissioned data processing and then deleted once that purpose has been fulfilled. Contract-specific evaluations are anonymized. As soon as you unsubscribe from the newsletter, the tracking also stops.
